Pathways to Write, is an award-winning programme built around units of work that follow a mastery approach to the teaching of writing. It uses clear, detailed lesson plans and resources linked to high-quality texts to ensure engaging and purposeful English lessons. Coherently planned and sequenced across each year group, each unit focuses on a finite number of skills which build progressively throughout the year. Pupils develop confidence enabling each skill to be mastered. Each unit covers a range of areas in the national curriculum:. Mastery of vocabulary, grammar and punctuation skills. Writing a range of genres across a year. Opportunities for practising previously taught genres.
